Swinging through the trees for MyPainFibro. to give our fundraising a boost!
On 11th May 2014 we enlisted the help of a few superheroes to collect sponsorship to complete the GoApe course at Matfen Hall, Newcastle. Jack Sparrow, and not one but two Spider Men took part along with some friends to complete the tree top obstacle course raising a total of £300!
Friends and family of the MyPainFibro committee members collected sponsor ship money before taking to the hire wire course climbing trees, swinging like Tarzan and flying across zip wires.
Mark Faulkner aka Spider Man said “The course was really good fun, a little scary at times but all for a really good cause”
Friends and family of the group came along to offer their moral support and enjoy a picnic at the course despite the occasional downpours.
MyPainFibro would like to thank all those who took part: Tony Donkin, Dunc Craig, Graeme Scott, Mark Faulkner and Steven Ather. And special thanks to the spectators and those who kindly contributed towards sponsorship.
